This elegant wax is an interesting way to transform an emulsion's texture while adding a subtle jasmine scent.
Jasminum Grandiflorum (Jasmine) Flower Wax
Our Jasmine Wax is an upcycled wax derived from leftover Jasminum Grandiflorum (Royal Jasmine) flowers in the perfuming industry.. We’ve captured the floral character of jasmine in a solid, easy-to-use pellet. This wax is not used primarily for fragrance—think of it as a fragrant emollient! It adds structure, richness, and a subtle sensory elegance to formulations. Thanks to its low melting temperature, it does not recrystallize and is pretty compatible with other oils, butters and esters.
Jasmine Wax is relatively soft, making it perfect for hard balms, soaps or sticks. Using just 1-2% helps improve payoff, leaving a protective film on the skin. You’ll often find Jasmine Wax in balms, salves, solid perfumes, facial oils, and emulsions where a soft, cushiony feel is desired.
This wax is a byproduct of the perfuming industry, and does not contain any intentionally added fragrances or essential oils. It’s the natural scent of the wax!
Jasmine Wax glides so well over skin, Valerie likes using anywhere 1% in lipsticks or other color cosmetics to increase the deposition of pigments onto the skin, also known as payoff.
Fresh jasmine blossoms are extracted, yielding a semi-solid mass called concrete. Concrete is a mixture of essential oils, waxes, resins, and other plant remains. The concrete is further extracted to obtain the absolute and the crude wax. The crude wax is separated and heated to destroy any microorganisms and make the wax uniform. It is then formed into pellets.

Jasmine flowers are harvested and extracted for the essential oils.
The jasmine concrete is further separated to isolate the jasmine absolute and crude wax.
The crude wax is heated and filtered to sterilize the wax and remove any plant parts. This does not destroy any naturally occurring scent.
The purified Jasmine Wax is formed into soft pastilles for easy use.
