Enjoy improved emollience and protective film-forming benefits with Butter Pearls in your formulation. Butter Pearls is a sustainable rheology modifier derived from the non-edible fraction of olives, which are leftover from olive oil production. These eco-friendly pearls are an effective oil phase gelling agent for any choice of oil. What are our favorite ways to use Butter Pearls?
- Use it at 2.5% to add texture to any emulsion for improved aesthetics and stability.
- Boost viscosity of your cream with just 5% Butter Pearls.
- Turn any oil into a balm with just 20% Butter Pearls melted into your favorite oil!
Non-edible portions of pressed olive fruit leftover after olive oil production are separated and processed to leave fractions of palmitic and stearic acid, which make up Butter Pearls.

This three ingredient balm couldn't be any easier to make. Simply add your favorite oil, Butter Pearls, and Blue Tansy essential oil together, heat and cool. We chose our sugar cane-derived Squalane for this recipe because we love how natural it feels on our skin.
