We were impressed with the skin feel of this fruit oil. Plus, it's super rich in antioxidant polyphenols, which are highly beneficial for skin.
Rubus Fruticosus (Blackberry) Seed Oil
Blackberry Seed Oil is a golden to amber oil that has a slightly nutty and fruity aroma. Like all fruit oils, its color comes from antioxidants—in this case, alpha and gamma Tocopherols (Vitamin E), Ellagitannins and Phytosterols. We think this oil is most suitable for mature skin or skin that could benefit from skin barrier repair.
Blackberries may look similar to black raspberries while they’re growing, but their oils couldn’t feel any different! Blackberry Seed Oil is a more medium-bodied, substantive oil that leaves skin feeling restored and repaired, without leaving skin feeling greasy. This is thanks to its high linoleic (omega-6) and linolenic (omega-3) content.
This oil is upcycled from the fruit juice industry. Once the juice is extracted from Oregon blackberries, the seeds are isolated from the pulp and carefully dried. Once dry, the seeds are crushed and the resulting oil is filtered to remove any particulate. There are no other additives or stabilizers added to the product.
