This broad-spectrum preservative is widely studied for safety on skin and works in just about any product type to keep you safe from harmful microorganisms.
Preservative PE is a liquid, broad spectrum preservative. Phenoxyethanol and Ethylhexlglycerin work synergistically to keep your products safe from bacteria, yeast and mold. It can be used in both rinse off and leave on formulations, making it the ideal preservative for your at home creations.
Phenoxyethanol and Ethylhexylglycerin are made through chemical synthesis before being distilled for purity. Vitamin E is added to ethylhexylglycerin for stabilization.

Do not use less than 0.6% as it will act as food to microorganisms, not a preservative.
Phenoxyethanol is inactivated by ethoxylated compounds - avoid with high levels of PEG or -ETH materials.

Phenoxyethanol has a maximum 1% use level. Please follow recommended Use Level guidelines. Not recommended for use in products intended for the nappy area of children.
