Water, Sodium Hyaluronate
Hyaluronic acid has considerable renown for its ability to hydrate and plump the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines. Our Hyaluronic Acid is triple-powered with all three sizes of molecular weights (MW):
- high MW hydrates the skin, improves skin barrier function, and leaves dry skin feeling soothed and moisturized.
- Mid MW penetrates deeper into the stratum corneum and promotes protection of the skin's natural moisturizing factor - making it the MW to restore moisture where it is most needed
- Low MW penetrates deeper into the epidermis to induce production of your skin's own native hyaluronic acid, and aiding in skin cell turnover
Hyaluronic Acid can be challenging to work with, but ours is already pre-dispersed in water so it can be incorporated easily into any water-based formula.
Bacteria are engineered to produce high molecular weight hyaluronic acid through fermentation with glucose. The large hyaluronic acid is then cleaved into smaller fractions of three different weights for optimal performance.
